Victory Heights Primary School
Victory Heights Primary School in Dubai Sports City is the only school on this list that scores Outstanding for overall quality, wellbeing and inclusion in KHDA's 2023-24 inspection and also carries the highest parent rating, 91, on SchoolsCompared.com. It opened in 2013 and teaches children from FS1 to Year 6 on the National Curriculum for England. The inspection report lists 1,006 pupils, 66 teachers and 39 teaching assistants, and the school says classes hold up to 25 children, with a teaching assistant in every class from FS1 to Year 2 and a shared assistant in Years 3 to 6. Wellbeing is built into the timetable rather than left to assemblies. Year 1 and 2 pupils have Mindful Monday, Years 3 to 6 have Wellbeing Wednesday, and the school runs one-to-one wellbeing sessions and friendship groups when a child needs them. KHDA's inspectors described a very strong culture of wellbeing and named the care, support and security of pupils as a highlight. The same report was less glowing on Arabic and Islamic Education, which it asked the school to improve, and that is the most common gap among British primaries in Dubai. The school day is clearly published. Children in Key Stage 1 and 2 can arrive from 7.30am, are in class by 7.55am and finish between 3.00pm and 3.10pm from Monday to Thursday, which is a full school day. FS1 finishes at 1.15pm and FS2 at 1.45pm, and on Fridays the whole school finishes around 11.00 to 11.40am. After-school enrichment runs from 3.00pm to 4.30pm. Fees for 2026-27 follow KHDA's directory: AED 40,138 for FS1, AED 43,785 for FS2, AED 47,435 for Years 1 and 2, AED 51,084 for Years 3 and 4 and AED 54,733 for Years 5 and 6. The school does not expect a fee increase for 2026-27, in line with Dubai's freeze, and does not offer sibling discounts. SchoolsCompared.com describes it as one of the happiest schools it has visited in the emirates and would like to see bursaries. It is a primary only, so families need a Year 7 plan.
