Nord Anglia International School Dubai

Nord Anglia International School Dubai opened in 2014 with 500 students and now has more than 3,000, according to the school; KHDA's 2023-24 report counts 2,882 pupils, 250 teachers and 131 teaching assistants. Like Safa Community, it is an all-through school, so the primary sits inside a large campus. KHDA rated it Outstanding for overall quality, wellbeing and inclusion, and the inspectors highlighted clarity of vision, excellent support for wellbeing and strong partnerships with parents. Primary pupils follow the English National Curriculum, adapted for an international intake, and the school links learning to Nord Anglia's collaborations with MIT, The Juilliard School and UNICEF, which are included in the fee. The Foundation Stage drew particular praise from inspectors for a vibrant environment that speeds progress. The recommendations were to broaden pupils' understanding of Emirati culture through the core subjects and to widen alternative curriculum pathways for older students. The published day is the most detailed of any school here. FS1 runs 8.00am to 2.15pm and FS2 8.00am to 2.30pm, while Years 1 to 6 run 7.45am to 3.00pm from Monday to Thursday, around 7 hours and 15 minutes. On Fridays FS1 and FS2 finish at 11.00am, Years 1 and 2 at 11.00am, Years 3 and 4 at 11.15am and Years 5 and 6 at 11.30am. Cost is the main reason it ranks sixth despite top marks. KHDA's directory lists AED 69,625 for FS1 and FS2, AED 81,228 for Years 1 and 2 and AED 87,030 for Years 3 to 6. SchoolsCompared.com gives a parent rating of 75, the lowest of the six Outstanding-everything schools here, and reports continued grumbling by parents over fees, perceived value, communications and parking. For families who want Juilliard-designed performing arts and a full A-level and IB route, the fees buy something distinctive.
