Top 10 Best HK Bank Promotions & Welcome Offers June 2026
This lineup of Hong Kong bank welcome offers for June 2026 ranges from HSBC's Premier tier, paying up to HK$20,000 for a HK$1 million deposit held three months, to Fubon Bank's low bar of just HK$30,000 for two months. Standard Chartered offers up to HK$15,000 for HK$800,000 parked for four months, DBS converts HK$10,000 of card spending into 120,000 DBS$ redeemable for Asia Miles or cash vouchers, and Hang Seng bundles an MPF transfer with a savings account for up to HK$8,000. Compare these deposit-heavy premium tiers against no-deposit card offers and entry-level accounts from Bank of China, Citibank, Bank of East Asia, ICBC and Fubon.

How to compare a bonus against what it actually costs you
A headline bonus only means something once you weigh it against what you have to give up to get it. A cash bonus that requires parking HK$500,000-1,000,000 in new-to-bank funds for three or four months has an opportunity cost — that money isn't earning whatever rate it was getting before, and it can't be touched without risking the bonus. A credit-card welcome bonus paid in miles or points needs converting to a real travel value before it can be compared to a straight cash payout. And a promotional deposit rate is only as good as how long it lasts before reverting to the standard rate. The way to compare offers fairly is to ask three questions for each: how much has to be committed, for how long, and in what form does the payout actually arrive.
What separates the top offers from the bottom in this list
The offers here split into two clear tiers. Premier and Priority Banking bonuses (HSBC, Standard Chartered, Citi Priority) pay the largest sums but demand six-figure HKD deposits held for several months — they suit people who already have that much sitting in another bank and are willing to move it. The savings and entry-level accounts (ICBC, Fubon, Bank of East Asia) ask for a fraction of that deposit and pay out faster, trading a smaller bonus for a much lower bar to clear. Neither tier is objectively "better" — the right one depends on how much new-to-bank money you actually have to move.
What newcomers to Hong Kong bank promotions get wrong
The most common mistake is assuming existing funds at the same bank count toward the deposit requirement — nearly all of these offers specify "new-to-bank funds," meaning money that was not already on deposit there. The second is treating a miles or points bonus as equivalent to its advertised cash value; redemption rates and availability vary, so the effective value is usually lower than the headline conversion suggests. The third is missing the maintenance period: most bonuses require the deposit or spending to be sustained for two to four months, and withdrawing early can void the reward entirely.
