Apple Music UK Top 10 Songs Chart — August 13, 2026

Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" continues its remarkable run, securing the #5 spot on this week's chart. This country hit, co-written by Langley, Luke Dick, Miranda Lambert, and Joybeth Taylor, tells the relatable story of a woman losing her love to the allure of Texas. It has already made history as the first song by a female artist to simultaneously top the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts, a feat only three other songs have ever achieved. "Choosin' Texas" has spent an impressive 18 non-consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, outperforming the 16-week runs of massive hits like Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day" and Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber's "Despacito." The track boasts over 310 million global streams and has achieved RIAA Platinum certification.

Ariana Grande's "hate that i made you love me" claims the #6 position, a lead single from her eighth studio album, *Petal*, released on July 31, 2026. This synth-pop and R&B ballad, co-written and co-produced by Grande with Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh, delves into themes of admiration and resentment, blurring the lines between a past lover and the scrutinizing public. The track debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Grande's tenth career chart-topper and tying her with music icons like Janet Jackson and Stevie Wonder for the tenth-most #1 songs in Hot 100 history. It also garnered 23.6 million U.S. streams and 70,000 downloads in its first week. Unlike the more energetic lead singles from her previous eras, "hate that i made you love me" embraces a softer, more atmospheric sound.

Olivia Rodrigo's "stupid song" enters the list at #7, showcasing her continued ability to craft impactful pop-rock anthems. The third single from her third studio album, *You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love*, released on June 12, 2026, the track explores the overwhelming and sometimes irrational feelings of deep infatuation. Written by Rodrigo and produced by Dan Nigro, the song features a dynamic arrangement that builds theatrically, a recognizable trademark of Rodrigo's style. "Stupid song" debuted at #3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and soared to #1 on the Billboard Global 200, holding the top spot for two consecutive weeks. It also quickly became a global Spotify chart-topper, accumulating 6.48 million streams in its first few days. This performance makes it a stronger debut than her previous single, "The Cure," which entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #5.

Olivia Rodrigo’s introspective track, "the cure," holds the #8 spot. Released on May 22, 2026, as the second single from her third studio album, *You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love*, this alternative rock, indie rock, and pop song delves into themes of doubt and emotional isolation, exploring the realization that love isn't a magical remedy for personal struggles. Co-written and produced with Dan Nigro, the song is centered around a melancholic acoustic guitar melody. "The cure" achieved significant commercial success, topping the charts in Australia, Ireland, and Singapore, and reaching #2 on the UK Singles Chart, making it Rodrigo's tenth career UK Top 10 accolade. It also debuted at #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The track became her longest-running leader on Billboard’s Alternative Streaming Songs chart, spending six consecutive weeks at #1, surpassing the performance of her previous chart-topper, "Bad Idea Right?".
