Messi, Ronaldo or Platini? Top 10 Ballon d'Or Winners

Top 10 men's Ballon d'Or winners (2026): picked and ranked by our editors, and open to your votes. How we ranked this: The set is every man with more than one Ballon d'Or, taken from the France Football winners list as summarised on the English Wikipedia Ballon d'Or page on 7 October 2026. Rank is by win count (weight 0.65). Ties break by longest stated consecutive run (0.15), then FIFA World Cup titles as a player where the player's page lists a win, a runner-up finish, or no World Cup match (0.15), then earlier first win (0.05). Scores are 0-10 within this set: 8 wins = 10, 5 = 8, 3 = 6, 2 = 4; a 4-year run = 10 and a 3-year run = 9; 2 World Cups = 10 and 1 = 7. The 2026 award has not been given.
