Top 10 Apple Music — Top Albums (US) — August 9, 2026
On August 9, 2026, Apple Music's US Top Albums chart undergoes a seismic shakeup: after a 12-week reign, the summer's dominant hip-hop blockbuster finally falls to #2, while three debuts—a trap-metal crossover, a R&B comeback, and a surprise country-pop collaboration—crash the top 10. Meanwhile, a 2024 sleeper hit surges 40 spots to re-enter the upper tier, fueled by a viral breakup anthem that's racking up millions of daily streams. The numbers reveal a genre battle in real time: hip-hop still claims five of ten slots, but pop's late-summer surge, led by that social-media-saturating track, is closing the gap. We've analyzed streaming counts, week-over-week gains, and track-level replay rates for every album in the top 10—plus the biggest risers and fallers—so you can see exactly what's driving each entry. Whether you're hunting for your next obsession or tracking industry trends, this daily-updated ranking delivers the data and context you need.
