R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy)

The R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy) was Nintendo's 1985 robot accessory, a Trojan horse designed to sell the NES as a toy after the video game crash, and it supported exactly two terrible games. It responded to screen flashes with glacial 2-second delays, and its plastic arms moved so slowly that play was tedious. Remarkably, it is slightly more useful than #1 Virtual Boy, since R.O.B. at least helped revive the industry, whereas the Virtual Boy caused migraines and sold 800,000 units versus the NES's 62 million.
