Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 required a day-one patch larger than the game itself, a technical failure worse than #5 Halo 5's missing split-screen co-op. Robomodo's 2015 disaster launched with physics so broken that skaters clipped through floors and launched into orbit, scoring a 32 on Metacritic—80% lower than the average of the top three PS1 skateboarding games. This effectively killed one of the most beloved franchises of the PS1 era, whereas #7 Crackdown 3 at least delivered functional gameplay. Its pathetic 15-mission campaign and 90-minute completion time undercut even the most generous expectations for an arcade skateboarding title.
