Gibbons at Khao Sok

Wake to the haunting calls of wild gibbons swinging through the ancient rainforest canopy of Khao Sok, where 4,000 species coexist in one of the world’s oldest ecosystems. These agile primates travel at speeds up to 35 mph through the treetops, faster than the average monkey sprint on the ground, and their morning duets can be heard for 1.5 kilometers. Over 95% of Cheow Lan Lake tours report hearing gibbons during a stay, and the park protects 12 resident troops. This is a more intimate encounter than #2's whale shark swim, as gibbons often interact from just 20 meters away from canopy walkways.
