Survived space, radiation, boiling, and a Moon crash. 0.5mm bears.
Tardigrades β microscopic "water bears" β have survived being boiled at 151C, frozen to -272C (one degree above absolute zero), blasted with 1,000 times the lethal radiation dose for humans, exposed to the vacuum of space for 10 days on the outside of the ISS, and shot from a gun at 900 meters per second. In 2019, an Israeli lunar lander crashed on the Moon with thousands of dehydrated tardigrades aboard. Scientists believe they may have survived the impact. There might be life on the Moon right now, and it's an 0.5mm bear.
