Todoist parses natural language input, pulling dates, projects and priorities straight out of a phrase like "Meeting with Sarah tomorrow at 3pm #work p1". The Karma system gamifies completion, and its API supports a large third-party integration ecosystem. Unlike Linear, which focuses on team workflows, Todoist is built around individual task management — and its parent company Doist remains fully remote and VC-free, a rare thing in SaaS.
