Notion collapses notes, wikis, tasks and lightweight databases into one editor where every page is a block that can also be a row in a database somewhere else. Ivan Zhao and Simon Last rebuilt it from scratch in Kyoto after an early version failed; the 2021 funding round valued the company at $10 billion, and Notion AI arrived in 2023.
