First Avenue

First Avenue stands as a Minneapolis landmark immortalized by Prince, and remains one of America's best-known mid-size rock clubs. With roughly 1,500-person capacity, it has hosted thousands of acts since opening in 1970, and its black exterior dotted with silver stars honoring past performers is a well-known local landmark.
