Yosemite Falls, USA

Yosemite Falls is one of North America's tallest waterfalls, dropping 739 metres across three sections: Upper Yosemite Fall (440 m), the Middle Cascades (206 m) and Lower Yosemite Fall (98 m). It is fed by Sierra Nevada snowmelt, peaking in May before drying up by late summer. This seasonal cycle makes April–June the optimal viewing window, offering a thunderous roar at the base. A strenuous 11.6-kilometre round-trip hike to the top provides panoramic views of Half Dome and the valley floor.
