Lollapalooza

Founded in 1991 by Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction as a farewell alternative music tour, Lollapalooza became a permanent Chicago institution in 2005. With 400,000 annual attendees across 4 days, it launched the alternative rock mainstream era and introduced a generation to Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
