Flamenco Beach on the Puerto Rican island of Culebra is a horseshoe-shaped 1.6-kilometre bay of brilliant white sand and turquoise water named by Travel + Leisure as one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Accessible by a 20-minute ferry from Fajardo on the Puerto Rican mainland, it is managed by the Department of Natural Resources with limited visitor numbers. Two US Army tanks left from WWII training exercises remain at the eastern end as unofficial landmarks.
