Eagle Beach on Aruba's western coast is one of the widest beaches in the Caribbean at approximately 500 metres across, offering vast expanses of powdery white sand free from the overdevelopment that characterises neighbouring Palm Beach. The beach is home to a nesting colony of critically endangered leatherback sea turtles monitored by Aruba's Sea Turtle Conservation programme between April and August. Eagle Beach has won TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Award for Best Beach in the Caribbean multiple times.
