Meta Orion AR Glasses (Consumer)

Meta's Orion AR glasses — demonstrated to press in September 2024 — use holographic waveguides to overlay digital content onto the real world without the bulk of current VR headsets. A consumer version is targeted for 2026 at a sub-$1,000 price, featuring an EMG neural wristband for control and Llama-powered contextual AI. It could be the most significant new hardware since the iPhone.
