Haeinsa Temple

A UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Gaya Mountains housing the Tripitaka Koreana — 81,258 woodblock-printed volumes of Buddhist scripture carved in the 13th century in perfect condition — in remarkable ventilated wooden storage halls. The Haeinsa complex is considered the most important single repository of Buddhist cultural heritage in East Asia.
