Diego Maradona
Diego Maradona's 1986 World Cup single-handedly defined a generation: he scored both the 'Hand of God' and the 'Goal of the Century' in the same quarter-final against England, then led Argentina to the title with five goals and five assists. At Napoli, he transformed a club with zero major titles into Serie A champions twice (1987 and 1990), scoring 81 goals in 187 matches. His 91 international appearances for Argentina included 34 goals, but his legacy rests on one iconic tournament where he carried his nation to glory.
