Sal Khan started recording math tutorials for his cousin in 2004. Khan Academy now has 150 million registered users, covers math from arithmetic to calculus, plus science, economics, history, and computing. The SAT prep course (free) is considered the best available and was developed in partnership with the College Board. Bill Gates called Khan Academy "the future of education" and the Gates Foundation has donated $16 million. The platform is used in 190 countries and has been translated into 50+ languages.
