Tesla Robotaxi (Cybercab) Launch in Austin

Tesla launched a limited commercial robotaxi service in Austin, Texas in June 2025 using its purpose-built Cybercab vehicle, which operates without steering wheel or pedals using Tesla's Full Self-Driving neural network. The service accumulated 1 million passenger miles in its first 90 days with no reported serious incidents, representing a significant validation of Tesla's vision-only autonomy approach. Elon Musk announced plans to expand to ten US cities by end of 2026.
