Meta Orion AR Glasses Consumer Preview
Meta showcased the consumer development version of its Orion augmented reality glasses in 2025, which project full-color holograms into the user's field of view at a form factor resembling ordinary eyewear, making the device the most advanced AR glasses ever demonstrated publicly. While not yet commercially available, the developer preview generated enormous industry excitement, fueled by a $10 billion investment in AR optics and waveguide technology from Reality Labs.
