Meta Orion AR Glasses Consumer Preview

Meta showcased the consumer development version of its Orion augmented reality glasses in 2025, which project full-color holograms into the user's field of view at a form factor resembling ordinary eyewear. While not yet commercially available, the developer preview generated enormous industry excitement as the most advanced AR glasses ever demonstrated publicly. Orion represented the culmination of a reported $10 billion investment in AR optics and waveguide technology by Meta's Reality Labs.
