Tanzania's Serengeti National Park covers 14,763 sq km of open savannah and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981. It hosts the greatest wildlife spectacle on Earth β the annual migration of 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebra across the plains. The park contains the densest concentration of large carnivores in Africa, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, plus over 500 bird species.
