3D Doritos
Hollow triangle chips with more flavor dust. 2021 revival got the texture wrong.
Frito-Lay's 3D Doritos, launched in 1998, was the most architecturally ambitious snack of its era—a hollow, puffed triangle. The satisfying hollow crunch and stackable shape made it a sensation. Discontinued around 2004, it was briefly revived as "3D Crunch" in 2021, but fans insist the texture was wrong; the original Jalapeño Cheddar remains the holy grail, with a flavor density that surpasses typical rival chips.
