The Prince Bay section of Shenzhen Bay Park (王子湾花海) transforms each spring (March-April) into a carpet of hundreds of thousands of rapeseed flowers, tulips, and wildflowers stretching along the bayside promenade with direct views of Hong Kong's New Territories across the water. The flower display is free to enter and is one of the most Instagrammed seasonal spectacles in Guangdong. Xiaohongshu users say "coming from Hong Kong to see the Prince Bay flowers in spring is a rite of passage" and recommend arriving by 7am on weekends to avoid queues of 2,000+ visitors later in the morning. The bloom peaks for approximately 3-4 weeks in March.
