Okinawa (Beaches & Churaumi Aquarium)

Okinawa is Japan's tropical south: white-sand beaches, turquoise water warm enough to swim October-May, and the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium — Japan's largest and the world's second-largest, home to whale sharks and manta rays in a tank with a 22-metre-wide acrylic panel. Admission is 1,850 JPY per adult and 620 JPY for children aged 6-15 (approx. 93-31 HKD). The surrounding Ocean Expo Park is free to enter with dolphin shows and Okinawan botanical gardens. Direct flights from Hong Kong to Naha take approximately 2 hours, making Okinawa one of the closest Japanese beach destinations for HK families. Shuri Castle (400 JPY, currently being restored) adds a Ryukyuan history element popular with school-age children.
