Yuexiu Park & Five Rams Statue (越秀公园五羊石像)
Yuexiu Park (越秀公园) is Guangzhou's oldest and most culturally significant public park, home to the Five Rams Statue (五羊石像) — the city's official symbol, depicting the five celestial rams that founded the city in legend. The park also contains a preserved section of Ming Dynasty city wall, Zhenhai Tower (镇海楼) which houses the Guangzhou Museum, and a large lake with pedal boats (CNY 30/30min). Entry to the park is free; Guangzhou Museum costs CNY 10. Mafengwo: 4.4/5. Best for older children (8+) with an interest in Chinese history. Located in Yuexiu District, 2 Metro stops from Guangzhou Main station.
