Huizhou — East River History and Coastal Beaches (1.5hr)

Huizhou (惠州) sits 90 minutes from Hong Kong by coach (via Guangdong Coach at Lo Wu or Lowu Coach Station) or 1 hour by high-speed rail to Huizhou South station. The city offers West Lake (惠州西湖) — a scenic lake district with pavilions and walking paths; Xiapu Ancient Town; and, crucially, Shuangyuewan (双月湾) beach — a gorgeous twin-bay coastline popular with Shenzhen and Hong Kong families for weekend beach trips.
