Ludwig
All-time Twitch sub record. Game show format gaming. Chess + competition crossover content.
A 31-day subathon in 2021 set what was then the all-time record for most subscribers gained on Twitch (since broken by Kai Cenat in 2023) — Ludwig Ahgren rode that momentum into an exclusive run on YouTube Gaming before returning to Twitch in 2024. What makes his channel worth following isn't just the games; it's the format. Chess-themed events, the "Mogul Money" game show, videos co-hosted with Schlatt — Ludwig treats gaming content like competitive entertainment with real stakes and structure, an approach enough other creators have copied that it's basically become its own genre. Nearly 7 million subscribers on his main channel, and arguably one of the most influential format innovators in gaming content.
