Microsoft's roughly $13 billion investment in OpenAI made Azure the primary cloud for OpenAI's models and reorganised the company around AI services. It crossed a $3 trillion market capitalization in January 2024 and reported $245 billion of revenue in fiscal 2024, with Copilot now sold as an add-on across Microsoft 365, GitHub and Windows.
