Munich Re is one of the largest cyber reinsurers and publishes an annual survey of the global cyber insurance market that other underwriters cite for sizing. Because it writes cyber both directly through its specialty units and as a reinsurer standing behind other carriers, it sees loss data from both ends of the chain.
