Chubb is among the largest US cyber insurance writers by direct premium and has underwritten the line since the late 1990s. The company in its present form dates from January 2016, when ACE Limited bought The Chubb Corporation and took its name. Its cyber policies bundle incident-response retainers and pre-breach services alongside the indemnity cover.
