Hidayet Türkoğlu is the first Turkish-born NBA player and the only one to surpass 10,000 career points, amassing 11,022 in 15 seasons. Standing 6'10", he won the NBA's Most Improved Player award in 2008, a distinction that sets him apart from many international players. That season, he averaged career-highs of 19.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, leading Orlando to the 2009 NBA Finals. He also earned silver medals at the 2001 EuroBasket and 2010 World Championship with Turkey.
