Bosphorus Brewing Co. is Istanbul's first craft brewery, merging European ale traditions with native Turkish ingredients. Their flagship 'Boğaz Bitter' uses 18% locally-sourced honey, a percentage that is 60% higher than the average Turkish craft beer's 11% honey content. This results in a 5.8% ABV ale that is smoother than #3 Torch Brewery's Pale Ale, with a balanced bitterness of 35 IBUs. Since launching in 2019, they have produced over 200,000 litres annually, a volume that is 40% greater than #4 Pablo Craft Beer's output.
