Kackar Mountains National Park

Kackar Mountains National Park delivers the most demanding alpine trekking in Turkey, with glacial lakes at an average elevation of 2,400 meters and peaks exceeding 3,900 meters. Its elevation is 20% higher than the typical Turkish national park, and it serves as one of the last refuges for brown bears in the region. Less crowded than #4 Aladaglar, it rewards hikers with wildflower‑rich meadows and dense cloud forests. The park's 34 glacial lakes, fed by permanent snowfields, provide a pristine water source for the entire Eastern Black Sea region, making it a vital ecological zone as well as a trekking paradise.
