Agatha Christie penned Murder on the Orient Express in room 411, now a museum suite available for €400 per night. Unlike Amanruya Bodrum's remote coastal retreat, Pera Palace offers direct access to Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, with the historic tram line stopping at its doorstep. Its original 19th-century elevator, one of Europe's oldest, remains operational after 134 years.
