Pamukkale’s blinding white travertine terraces are a natural masterpiece, sculpted by mineral-rich thermal waters over centuries. The adjacent ancient city of Hierapolis, founded in the 2nd century BC, includes a Roman theater seating 12,000 spectators. It became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988.
