Skull-faced fortress playset. Boxed: $2,000. French variants: $5,000+.
Mattel's 1982 Castle Grayskull playset was the centerpiece of the Masters of the Universe line — a skull-faced fortress that opened to reveal a throne room, trap door, and elevator. A complete, boxed Castle Grayskull in excellent condition regularly sells for $800-$2,000. The rarer "first shot" prototypes and international variants (like the French "Chateau des Ombres") can exceed $5,000. Even without the box, a complete Castle Grayskull with all accessories averages $300-500. The jawbridge alone is iconic enough to be worth money.
