Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace, which translates to 'Palace of the Nation,' officially opened its doors to the public in March 2019. This working palace showcases the UAE's governance traditions and cultural heritage, most notably in its Great Hall. The Great Hall features a central dome with a diameter of 37 meters and houses one of the country's largest chandeliers, weighing 12 tons and adorned with 350,000 crystals. The palace's facade is constructed from white granite and limestone, designed to reflect heat and last for centuries. While offering a deep dive into Emirati culture and governance, visitors should note that as a working palace, certain areas may be restricted during official events.
