Heart of Sharjah Heritage District

The Heart of Sharjah is the UAE's most ambitious historic preservation effort, rebuilding an entire 1950s-era neighbourhood with traditional courtyard houses and coral-wall architecture. This 200,000-square-meter district contains 50 restored buildings. It offers a more authentic experience than the curated exhibits at #4 Sharjah National Museum. The restoration is 40% larger than any similar project in the emirate, making it the definitive example of urban heritage in the region.
