Sun Moon Lake
Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan's largest lake at 7.93 square kilometers, is ringed by forested mountains and 30 kilometers of cycling paths. Its Wenwu Temple sees over 2 million annual visitors, but the lake offers 20% more biodiversity than the average Taiwan reservoir. This serene site is a greener alternative to the busier Taroko Gorge.
