Jim & Dad's Brewing crafts Belgian-inspired ales that stand apart for their Taiwanese twists, such as the 7.5% ABV Oolong Dubbel—infused with 2kg of Alishan oolong per batch—which won a bronze at the 2025 Asia Beer Awards. Their annual output of 12,000 liters is 30% lower than #4 Zhangmen Brewing, but their per-bottle profit margin of 35% is 5 percentage points higher than the typical craft brewery in Taiwan. The father-son duo also uses 100% local malt from Yilan County, a sourcing practice cheaper than the imported malt used by most competitors.
