Pedro de la Rosa

Pedro de la Rosa competed in Formula 1 from 1999 to 2012 across several spells with various teams, most notably McLaren where he became a valued test and reserve driver under Ron Dennis. His best result was second place at the 2006 Bahrain Grand Prix for McLaren, and he was instrumental in developing the McLaren MP4/21 through extensive simulator work. After his racing career, de la Rosa moved into team management roles and became a respected voice in Formula 1 technical circles. Despite never winning a race, his sole podium is one more than Marc Gene's best finish of fifth, and his 104 race entries are 188% more than Gene's 36, showing greater racing involvement.
