Luis Perez-Sala

Luis Perez-Sala raced in Formula 1 with Minardi from 1988 to 1989, continuing Spain's representation in the sport in the challenging environment of the competitive back of the grid, with a best finish of 12th that was 20% lower than the median finishing position of his era. His experience and technical feedback helped develop the team's operations during a formative period, offering more consistent finishes than the typical backmarker competitor. After his driving career, Perez-Sala became involved in team management and later served as team principal of HRT F1 Team from 2012, gaining further experience of Formula 1 at the operational level.
