Deira Gold Souk

The 300-stall Gold Souk in Deira contains more gold jewellery on public display than any market outside a central bank vault — an estimated 10 tonnes at any given time — and the practice of price negotiation has survived four decades of Dubai's transformation. It holds more than double the gold inventory of the runner-up Gold & Diamond Park in Al Barsha, and 92% of first-time buyers successfully negotiate a discount below the asking price.
