Khao Chi Chan (Buddha Mountain)
Khao Chi Chan features a 130-meter-high Buddha image laser-carved into a limestone cliff, a technique that saved 60% in construction time compared to traditional carving methods. Commissioned for the King's Golden Jubilee in 1996, the gold-leaf embellishments cover 40 grams of pure gold, making it 50% more lavish than the average Buddha image in Thailand.
