Gibb River Road

Gibb River Road stretches 660 kilometres of unsealed terrain across the Kimberley, linking 12 gorges and 20+ cattle stations from the late 1800s. The gravel surface requires a 4WD with 200-millimetre minimum clearance, as washouts and corrugations are common from May to October. This epic drive demands more vehicle preparation than the average outback track, requiring two spare tyres and 40 litres of extra water per traveller. Bell Gorge’s 20-metre waterfall marks the mid-point, and the entire route takes four days. It’s longer and more rugged than #4’s underground tour, making it a true endurance test.
