Tucked within the Cape Peninsula National Park near Simon's Town, Boulders Beach is home to a thriving colony of over 3,000 African penguins β one of only a handful of such colonies accessible to the public. The African penguin is an endangered species with a global population of fewer than 50,000 breeding pairs, making Boulders Beach a critical conservation site and one of South Africa's most photographed attractions.
