Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre delivers the most concentrated coastal drama in Italy—five pastel-hued villages stacked on Ligurian cliffs, linked by a 12-km Sentiero Azzurro trail that weaves through terraced vineyards and plunging sea views. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, this 12-km network of hiking paths offers more varied scenery per kilometer than any other Italian coastal trail, including the Amalfi Coast's longer but less diverse routes. Yet the iconic stacked houses and cliffside vineyards remain one of Italy's most photographed and beloved landscapes.
